In a large pot cook the sausage over medium high heat.
Add chopped onion, and crumble together with sausage
Add salt, and continue sautéing about 7-10 minutes or until sausage is thoroughly cooked.
Add garlic, and sauté for a minutes or so until the garlic is fragrant.
Drain grease from the sausage, and return to pot on medium high heat and stir in flour.
Once the flour is incorporated, slowly add the chicken broth while stirring constantly. Go slow to prevent clumping.
Slowly add milk while stirring continually.
Add chopped potatoes , and turn the heat down to medium. Bring to a low boil.
Once the soup is simmering, continue cooking for about 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
When potatoes are tender, add the kale.
Add two cups of cream and stir very gently. Turn the heat to low and let cook for another 15 minutes, until the kale has wilted.
