April 2026 Scripture Writing Plan

It’s time for a new month, which means it’s time for a new scripture writing plan.

For the April 2026 scripture writing plan, we are continuing our study through the Gospels by reading and writing verses from the book of Luke. This plan includes one short passage each day that is simple enough to handwrite, but meaningful enough to meditate on throughout the day.

I’ve really enjoyed focusing on one book of the Bible at a time, and the Gospel of Luke is full of encouragement, instruction, and reminders of the life and teachings of Christ.

If you’ve never done a scripture writing plan before, the idea is very simple. Each day you slowly write out the verse by hand, taking time to think about the words as you write. This small habit helps you stay in the Word daily without feeling overwhelming.

You don’t need a lot of time.
You don’t need anything fancy.
Just a Bible, a notebook, and a few quiet minutes each day.

Why I Love Scripture Writing Plans

I’ve shared these monthly plans for several years now, and one of the things I appreciate most about scripture writing is how simple it is.

There have been many seasons of life when long Bible studies felt like too much, but writing one verse a day was something I could stay consistent with. Over time, those small daily moments in the Word add up in a way you don’t always notice right away.

Writing the verses slowly helps me pay attention in a different way than just reading quickly. It gives me time to think about what the verse means and how it applies to everyday life.

That’s why I keep coming back to this habit month after month.
