May 2026 Scripture Writing Plan: The Gospel of John
Follow the May 2026 scripture writing plan with daily verses from the Gospel of John. A simple way to stay in the Word each day.

A new month is here, which means it’s time for a new scripture writing plan.
For the May 2026 scripture writing plan, we’re continuing our way through the Gospels with verses from the book of John.
John is a little different than the other Gospels. It’s more reflective, with a strong focus on who Christ is and what it means to believe in Him. There are so many simple but powerful verses in this book that are perfect for slowing down and writing out each day.
If you’ve been following along the past couple months, I hope this has been a steady, simple way to stay in the Word without feeling overwhelmed.
And if you’re just getting started, this is a great place to begin.
All you need is your Bible, a notebook, and a few quiet minutes each day.

Why I Love Scripture Writing Plans
I’ve shared these monthly scripture writing plans for a while now, and I keep coming back to them for one simple reason — they’re easy to stay consistent with.
There have been many seasons where long Bible studies felt like too much, but writing one verse a day was something I could keep up with.
And over time, those small, steady moments in the Word really do add up.
Writing slows things down. It helps you pay attention in a different way, and gives you time to think about what you’re reading instead of rushing through it.
It’s a simple habit, but it’s one that has made a difference for me.
