It’s hard to believe we’re already welcoming another month.

For the June 2026 scripture writing plan, we’re continuing our journey through the Gospels with selected verses from the book of Matthew.

Matthew contains many of Christ’s most well-known teachings, including portions of the Sermon on the Mount, reminders to seek God’s kingdom first, and Christ’s invitation to come to Him when we are weary.

I love scripture writing because it slows me down. Instead of rushing through a chapter, writing a verse by hand gives me time to think about what I’m reading and hide it in my heart.

Whether you’ve been following along for months or are just joining us, I hope these daily verses encourage you to spend a few quiet moments in God’s Word each day.

All you need is your Bible, a notebook, and a few minutes of uninterrupted time.

Why I Love Scripture Writing Plans

One of the reasons I’ve continued creating these monthly scripture writing plans is because they are simple.

There have been seasons when I wanted to do an in-depth Bible study but didn’t have the time or mental energy for one. During those seasons, writing a single verse each day helped me stay connected to God’s Word.

It’s amazing how much encouragement can come from just a few verses when we slow down enough to really think about them.

Scripture writing isn’t complicated, but it is effective.

Over time, those small daily moments begin to add up.

Looking Ahead

This month completes our journey through the four Gospels.

Over the last several months we’ve spent time in Mark, Luke, John, and now Matthew, focusing on the life, teachings, and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Next month we’ll begin a new series of scripture writing plans as we continue through the New Testament together.

Matthew is filled with practical wisdom, reminders of God’s faithfulness, and Christ’s invitation to follow Him.

Even a few minutes spent in Scripture each day can help refocus our hearts on what truly matters.

Happy writing.
